Freddy Colon And 5 Con Swing is a Latin jazz and Afro-Caribbean ensemble led by Rochester-based percussionist Freddy Colon, whose career spans decades of performing salsa, merengue, and Latin jazz. Colon spent 25 years as percussionist with the Mambo Kings, performing alongside more than 75 U.S. symphony orchestras, and has shared the stage with Tito Puente, Aretha Franklin, and Phillip Bailey. He also serves as a percussion educator and cultural ambassador across Western New York.
