When & Where
RIJF 2026 runs Friday, June 19 through Saturday, June 27, clustered around the East Avenue and Gibbs Street arts district. Ticketed concerts fill Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Kilbourn and Hatch Recital Halls, Temple Theater, Montage Music Hall, The Duke at Sibley Square, Max of Eastman Place, and Vanni's Jazz Lounge — while free music pours out of the outdoor stages on Jazz Street (Gibbs St), the Wegmans Pavilion at Rhythm Square, the Wegmans Stage at Parcel 5, and the East & Chestnut Stage.
Free Headliner Shows
Some of the festival's biggest names play free. The Wegmans Stage at Parcel 5 hosts free nightly headliners including Tito Puente Jr., Galactic, Ana Popović, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and Robert Cray brings the blues to the East & Chestnut Stage. The Club Pass Series unlocks 200+ club sets across the festival's ticketed venues — typically two shows a night from artists like Joe Lovano, Bill Frisell, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Hiromi, Bob James, and The Soul Rebels.
