Joe Lovano is a Grammy Award-winning tenor saxophonist, composer, and producer born in Cleveland, Ohio, and based in the Hudson River Valley, NY. His sound draws from hard bop and post-bop traditions while embracing open, adventurous improvisation. He recorded 25 albums as a leader for Blue Note Records and has collaborated with Ornette Coleman, Herbie Hancock, and Tony Bennett. Lovano holds the Gary Burton Chair in Jazz Performance at Berklee College of Music.
