Danilo Pérez is a Grammy Award-winning Panamanian pianist-composer whose music blends Panamanian roots, Latin American folk, West African rhythms, and European impressionism. He directs the Berklee Global Jazz Institute in Boston and founded the Panama Jazz Festival. A longtime member of the Wayne Shorter Quartet, he shared in the Grammy win for the ensemble's 2018 album EMANON and holds the title of UNESCO Artist for Peace.
