The Coltrane Sutras is a Toronto-based transcultural jazz project led by saxophonist brothers Jonathan and Andrew Kay. Inspired by John and Alice Coltrane's spiritual legacy, they blend Indian, Japanese, Chinese, and Afro-Cuban influences into a deeply improvisational jazz framework. Their 2021 debut, The Coltrane Sutras: Dusk Dawn Suite, featured jazz luminaries Pat LaBarbera and Roberto Occhipinti.
