Mike Kaupa

Mike Kaupa is a Rochester-based jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player whose hard-bop style draws on deep experience touring North America, Europe, and Japan. He played in Ray Charles' band in 1993, toured internationally with the Glenn Miller Orchestra (1988–1991), and has performed alongside Mel Tormé and Luciana Souza. A longtime educator, he teaches at the Harley School, Finger Lakes Community College, and the Eastman Community Music School.
