Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton is a New York City-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist specializing in pre-WWII Black American music — country blues, ragtime, jazz, and Cajun styles. He plays banjo, guitar, piano, fiddle, harmonica, and more. The Wall Street Journal called him "virtually the only music-maker of his generation to fully assimilate the blues idiom of the 1920s and '30s." He appeared in the 2017 documentary The American Epic Sessions.
