About the Artist

JD McPherson is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and guitarist originally from Oklahoma whose exhilarating sound revives the rock and roll, rockabilly, and R&B of the 1950s — with a punk spirit that keeps it anything but nostalgic. Described by Rolling Stone as delivering "timeless, forward-thinking rock & roll," McPherson taught middle school art before music took over full time. His debut album topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and his fifth album, Nite Owls, was released in 2024. He has toured alongside Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
