About the Artist

Harvey Mason is a legendary, multi–GRAMMY-nominated drummer, producer, composer, and bandleader—one of the most recorded session musicians in modern music. A founding member of smooth-jazz supergroup Fourplay and the original drummer on Herbie Hancock’s game-changing Headhunters project (including the funk standard “Chameleon”), Mason’s credits span Barbra Streisand, James Brown, Beyoncé, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He studied at Berklee and New England Conservatory and continues to lead acclaimed solo projects; his recent work includes the single “Midnight Stroll” from the forthcoming album Changing Partners. Onstage and in studios worldwide, Mason’s hallmark is immaculate time, deep pocket, and stylistic range from jazz and fusion to pop and film.
