About the Artist

Djabe is Hungary’s leading jazz/world-fusion band, blending improvisational jazz with Hungarian folk colors, African inflections, and touches of progressive rock. Founded in the mid-1990s by guitarist-leader Attila Égerházi, the group’s principal composer is virtuoso bassist Tamás Barabás. Djabe tours internationally and has an extensive discography, including recent releases on Cherry Red/Esoteric, and a long-running collaboration with Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett.
