Dave Stryker is a jazz guitarist, composer, and educator based in New Jersey, originally from Omaha, Nebraska. Known for his blues-inflected approach to straight-ahead jazz, he spent a decade as a sideman with tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine (1986–1995). He has recorded more than 35 albums as a leader, with his last six reaching #1 on the JazzWeek Radio chart, and has appeared in the DownBeat Critics and Readers Polls as a top jazz guitarist for 15 consecutive years.
