CMD is a Rochester, NY piano-bass-drums trio — Casey Filiaci, Mark Terranova, and Dave Cohen — whose name stands for "Common. Music. Different." They craft jazz reimaginings of classic rock, R&B, pop, and musical theatre songs by artists such as Joni Mitchell, the Beatles, and Neil Young. Their sophomore album "just another song…" highlights this approach, and the group are regulars at the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
