Charles Pillow is a Rochester-based saxophonist, woodwind doubler, composer, and arranger who has built a wide-ranging career in jazz and pop. He has appeared on recordings with Frank Sinatra, Wynton Marsalis, John Scofield, Michael Brecker, and Jay-Z, among many others, and has played in over 25 Broadway shows. Since 2012 he has served as Assistant Professor of Jazz Saxophone at the Eastman School of Music, and he leads his own ensembles including the Charles Pillow Large Ensemble.
