Bill Frisell is a Brooklyn-based jazz guitarist whose work spans jazz, Americana, blues, and experimental music across a 40-year career. His tone and melodic sensibility led The New Yorker to compare him to Miles Davis. He won a Grammy in 2005 for the album Unspeakable and has composed scores for films including Walk the Line and Buster Keaton silent films.
