About the Artist

A Bronx Tale: The New Musical adapts Chazz Palminteri’s autobiographical one-man play into a 1960s Bronx coming-of-age story, where young Calogero is pulled between his hardworking father Lorenzo and charismatic mob boss Sonny. With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, the show premiered at Paper Mill Playhouse in February 2016 and opened on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre on December 1, 2016. It was co-directed by Robert De Niro and Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
